PRIVATE ROOM QUESTIONS
Private rooms are for 2 people and the price is $64 for the room ($58 if you have an HI membership). We have only a few private rooms, and availability changes constantly. We do not take reservations via email for security reasons. Please call us at 808-926-8313 for inquiries or to reserve a private room. Private rooms are very basic: They have 1 double bed, a private bathroom & a fan.

FAMILY ROOM QUESTIONS

Our family room is very basic & only for 4 PEOPLE MAX. It has 4 bunk beds, a private bathroom, some closet space, & a fan. The price is $116 for members, $128 for non-members. The price DOES NOT change if there are less people or if there are minors. They are not meant for 5+ people, & we cannot add extra beds for extra persons. We have only have one Family Room, and availability changes constantly. We do not take reservations via email for security reasons. DO I HAVE TO BUY A MEMBERSHIP CARD TO STAY HERE?

No. You can either pay a "daily membership" of $3 / night or purchase a card for $28. Basically if you are planning on staying at HI hostels for the next year for more than 9 nights, the card pays for itself. HOW DO I GET TO THE HOSTEL FROM THE AIRPORT?

BUS
Take the 19 or 20. Get off at the Princess Kaiulani statue stop & walk one block towards the beach. Prince Edward St. is the next street parallel to the street the bus was on. The bus DOES NOT accept large baggage. $2..50 exact change
SHUTTLE
There is only one company allowed to operate out of the airport, its called Speedi Shuttle. Someone from their company will be right outside baggage claim and ask you if you need a shuttle. If you book in advance online it is cheaper.
TAXI
It might be cheaper if there's more than one to reserve a Taxi. It is $25 flat & takes 30 minutes to get to the hostel. Call and reserve in advance, tell the you are staying at the hostel to get the $25 rate: 808- 942-7827

CAN I RESERVE A BED VIA EMAIL?

In order to make a reservation, you need a valid Visa, MasterCard or American Express. For security purposes, we do not take this information via email. However, you can book online: Reservations.

CAN I RESERVE A PARKING SPOT?

We only have a few parking spots available, therefore we do not reserve them in advance. First come, first serve.

CAN I BOOK TOURS ACTIVITIES THROUGH YOUR HOSTEL AT A DISCOUNT?

Yes. We have great discounts on car rentals, available in all islands if you use this link: Discount Car Rentals.

DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS/SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX?

There are FREE lockers in every room, you just have to bring YOUR OWN lock. The lockers are small, and meant for your valueables such as wallet and passport, not your entire luggage.

DO YOU HAVE FREE BREAKFAST?

We do not offer free breakfast, but there is a self-service kitchen so that guests can cook their own meals. There are also several nearby restaurants that offer continental breakfast ranging from $3-$8.

CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL AT THE HOSTEL?

We don't allow alcohol. Hawaii has a lot of things to offer in form of activities during the morning, day, & night. We want to be the "home-base" for you to come home to after exploring the islands, cook yourself a meal & mingle with other backpackers or use our free wifi to catch up with friends. If you prefer hostels that focus on drinking and keeping you in the hostel, consider the other hostels in Waikiki.
